Teningurinn or The Cube is a new annual award handed out by the Association of Chartered Engineers in Iceland (VFÍ). The aim of the awards is to draw attention to well-developed and interesting projects in the field of engineering in Iceland. Teningurinn was designed by Adrian Freyr Rodriguez, engineer and designer and Narfi Þorsteinsson, artist and graphic designer. In the design process, they looked at the period when the engineering discipline first came to Iceland around 1920 and wanted to reflect that in the art history with reference to constructivism. Icelandic artists such as Gerður Helgadóttir gave them great inspiration. According to the constructivists, art was meant to reflect modern industry and thus make use of the technology that was accessible at any given time. The design and production of Teningurinn utilized 3D drawing, 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC machining - (something that could not have been used easily ten years ago). The design is based on thirteen cubes that all support each other and revolve around the formula of Theodorus (Theodorus spiral), a 6th-century Greek mathematician. draw attention to the collection of signatures in support of the New Constitution, which was organized by the Women's Association for a New Constitution. The question:&nbsp;"Where is the new constitution?" was painted with the font on a 2m high concrete wall, next to the Ministry of Industry and Innovation. Authorities responded immediately and had the wall cleaned at the earliest opportunity. As a result, there was a great deal of media coverage of the case, which also provoked further public reaction, and the collection of signatures took off from 19.000 to 43.025 in about week.&nbsp;It can be said that the performance was a great success. The performance was repeated the next day on another wall a short distance away, and the message has been untouched by authorities ever since.
